Inflatable Spa Water Care
If you intend to leave the water in your inflatable spa for more than 24 hours you will need to use a spa water sanitizer to prevent the growth of bacteria and to keep your spa safe and pleasant for use.
Active Oxygen is a gentle, odour-less alternative to the traditional method of disinfecting spa water with chlorine or bromine. and is our recommended water care regime for inflatable spas. Active Oxygen sanitation is:
Easy!
Inexpensive!
Safe!
Active Oxygen sanitation systems comprise two components that are easy to use and work synergistically together to keep your spa water free from bacterial growth.
Active
Oxygen Tablets - These quick dissolving tablets
should be added to your water on filling the tub and
then prior to using the spa, or weekly if the tub is not
used. The tablets are used in conjunction with a
weekly application of the compatible Activator
Liquid. The tablets destroy bacteria and remove
organic impurities.
Active
Oxygen Activator Liquid - This liquid is a
long-lasting activator which should be used weekly
in conjunction with the compatible Active Oxygen
Tablets to activate the disinfectant effect of the
tablets and prevent algae growth.
When used together these products very closely replicate the effect that you achieve by using Chlorine or Bromine in your spa without the significant disadvantages of smell, skin irritation and bleaching. Active Oxygen is also much easier to use than Chlorine or Bromine because there is minimal water balancing required.

Oxygen Frequently Asked Questions
Bayrol Active Oxygen Inflatable Spa Water Care Kit
Contains 1 kg Bayroklar Spa Tablets, 1 litre Bayroplus Spa, 50 x AquaChek Active Oxygen Test Strips.
Both components must be used together to sanitize the spa water.
Inflatable Spa Filter Cleaning
We recommend that inflatable spa filters are cleaned after every use and replaced every month. The best filter cleaner to use is a powdered cleaner because it removes both grease and limescale from the filters. To clean your filters you should immerse them in filter cleaner in a bucket overnight. Spa filters work best when they are allowed to dry out between uses. You should therefore maintain a spare set of filters and rotate them.

Immerse
Filter Cleaner Sachets
AquaSPArkle Immerse is a top quality powdered filter cleaner that removes oils, grease, rust and, particularly, scale from hot tub filter cartridges.
Use one sachet per 18 litres of water, ensure that the cartridge is completely immersed and soak overnight. For best results allow cartridge to dry before re-installing.

Active Oxygen Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use Bayrol Active Oxygen in my inflatable spa?
Step 1 – Fill your spa and check the water balance
With any water sanitizer system you should first make sure that your water is adequately balanced to protect your equipment and ensure that the water remains comfortable to bathe in. The test strips with the starter kit will enable you to measure the two parameters that you need to measure: pH and Total Alkalinity. When using Active Oxygen the Total Alkalinity should be in the range 80 – 160 ppm and the pH should be in the range 7.0 – 7.4. In the unlikely event that your tap water is outside this range you should use water balancers to first adjust the total alkalinity, then the pH and finally the Calcium Hardness. If you need to buy water balancers please visit our main website @ www.splashspas.co.uk
Step 2 - Apply an initial dose of Active Oxygen Liquid
Apply an initial does of Bayroplus Spa liquid at the dosage recommended on the bottle.
Step 3 - Every time you use your tub
Add one Bayroklar Spa Tablet.
Use Active Oxygen Test Strips to ensure that the potassium monopersulphate concentration in the water is in the range 5.0 - 8.0 mg / litre. (Note that the monopersulphate concentration should not fall below 5 mg / litre while the tub is in use.) If the concentration is too low simply add another Bayroklar Spa tablet.
Step 4 – Once per Week
Test and adjust the water balance, if necessary.
Re-apply the Bayroplus Spa liquid at the dosage recommended on the bottle.
Is there anything else that I have to do?
Yes. Filtration....
Filtration is another vital part of keeping your spa water crystal clear. In common with any sanitizer system, you should make certain that your filtering cycle is adequate for your spa volume and usage, clean your filter regularly using a proprietary filter cleaner and replace it every 6 - 12 months.
Filters last longer if they are allowed to dry out properly between uses so it's a good idea to keep a spare and rotate them.
